Determine Your Actual Belt Measurement

To determine your actual belt measurement, take a belt you currently wear, with the same style buckle set you will use on your new belt, and measure from the fold where the buckle attaches, to the hole you currently wear it in the most, whether that's the tightest hole, the loosest hole, or one you added.
